1. Terms of Use

1.1. Agreement to Terms

These Terms and Conditions constitute a legally binding agreement made between you, whether personally or on behalf of an entity (“you”) and The House & Building Wash Company (“we,” “us” or “our”), concerning your access to and use of the housewash.co.nz website as well as any other media form, media channel, mobile website, or mobile application related, linked, or otherwise connected thereto (collectively, the “Site”).

1.2. Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise indicated, all content on the Site, including audio, video, text, photograph, graphics, and logos (collectively, the “Content”), is owned and controlled by us and protected by copyright under New Zealand Intellectual Property laws and international conventions. Unauthorised use or reproduction of the Content may be in violation of both these Terms and Conditions and such laws.

1.3. Privacy Policy

We care about data privacy and security. Please review our Privacy Policy. By using the Site, you agree to be bound by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms and Conditions.

1.4. Copyright Infringements

We respect the intellectual property rights of others. If you believe that any material available on or through the Site infringes upon any copyright you own or control, please immediately notify us using the contact information provided below.

1.5. Content

The Site contains information on a variety of exterior cleaning services provided by us, The House & Building Wash Company. While we strive for accuracy and relevancy, all service descriptions, information, and prices regarding these services are subject to change without notice, at our sole discretion. We reserve the right to discontinue or modify any services at any time for any reason.

2. Terms of Trade

The following terms of trade (“Terms”) shall apply to all residential, commercial, and body corporate building washing and exterior cleaning and any other services provided to you by The House & Building Wash Company.

2.1. Quotes and Pricing

​

Quotations are valid for 30 days from the date of issuance. All residential quotations include GST. Body corporate and commercial quotations are exclusive of GST. 

​

Our minimum residential charge is 250 NZD, including GST.

2.2. Payments

​

Payment is due on the day the invoice is received via the email address provided to us by you. Payment may be completed through the provided link using credit or debit card (with a 2% surcharge) or internet banking (no surcharge). We do not collect on-site payment via EFTPOS, credit or debit card, or cheque; however, cash payments will be accepted on-site if preferred.

2.3. Our Services

​

Our standard house/building wash service includes a soft wash of the house/building exterior, including the outside of the gutters, the underside of the eaves, and all painted walls from gutter to ground. Our standard house/building wash service DOES include painted verandahs but does NOT include the roof, the inside of the gutters, attached decks, pergolas, or other such attachments, unless specifically stated and agreed upon. These areas are NOT included in the standard house/building wash price, but may be washed for additional cost.

2.4. Cancellation

​

The cancellation of booked services within 24 hours of the agreed-upon time will incur a fee of 250 NZD. By accepting the quotation sent to you by us and booking our services, you agree to pay the amount of 250 NZD if sufficient cancellation notice (more than 24 hours before the agreed-upon time) is not provided.

2.5. Service Satisfaction

We endeavour to deliver high-quality results. If you are not satisfied with the service provided (i.e., the condition of exterior surfaces included in the job), you must notify us within 7 days of the job's completion. Notification received outside of this timeframe may not be eligible for recleans, adjustments, or compensation.​

Recleaning, adjustment, or compensation will not be offered in the event of preexisting damage or other such issues for which we are not liable, such as unsound paint or timber, water ingress due to faulty seals, or any damage or soiling following the job’s completion.

3. Changes and Modifications

​

We reserve the right to, at our sole discretion, make changes or modifications to these Terms and Conditions or our Privacy Policy at any time and for any reason. Changes will be notified via the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Site and engagement with our Content and services means that you accept and agree to any changes to these Terms.

We reserve the right to change, modify, or remove the contents of the Site at any time for any reason at our sole discretion without notice. We also reserve the right to modify or discontinue all or part of the Site without notice at any time.
